Technical Manager Close Range

DRS RADA is a global leader in advanced radar solutions for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Manager to join our growing team.

In this role, you will serve as a key technical leader, working closely with customers and internal teams to shape, develop, and deliver innovative solutions that address complex operational needs. Key Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand operational needs and technical requirements.
• Translate customer needs into tailored, practical, and effective solution concepts.
• Lead technical pre-sales activities, including preparation of proposals, customer responses, and product demonstrations.
• Support the Business Development team with technical guidance, insights, and recommendations.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks and opportunities across projects.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic positioning and future capability development.
• Define requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products in collaboration with engineering and development teams.
• Lead system integration and deployment activities, including installation, user acceptance testing, and evaluation.
• Maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, interface documents, manuals, and training materials.
• Work closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to support efficient execution throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Previous experience in the defense industry – an advantage.
• Strong technical background.
• RF/Radar knowledge – an advantage.
• Technical and operational experience.
• Strong customer orientation.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel within Israel to support tests, production, and other activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English.
