Alon Amitay

Alon Amitay is Vice President, Chief Strategy and Business Development of DRS RADA Technologies, a business unit of Leonardo DRS, a role he assumed in July 2026. He joined the company in April 2022 after completing a 24-year career at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, where he held multiple business and leadership roles, including Managing Director of Rafael’s wholly owned U.K. subsidiary, responsible for regional business activity. Earlier, he served as an officer in Israeli Air Force Headquarters, where he worked as a project manager from 1991 to 1998. He holds a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion, an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Ben-Gurion University, and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Haifa.
